SOPA on a Rope

No…I wasn’t rounded up by our National Guard at the direction of Homeland Security…yet. The attacks on Freedom by our extremist leftist government seem to go relatively unnoticed, which is what happens when you have a complicit, neutered, lapdog news media. I also use the term “leftist” when I describe our own Idaho congressional delegates, who seem to vote in favor of every governmental power grab that comes along in unshakeable lockstep with Team Obama and Hairy Reed. I have no idea what the words ‘Republican’ and ‘Democrat’ even signify anymore…
It’s as if the United States Constitution doesn’t even exist – and never has. Let’s take a quick overview of a string of extremely disturbing power grabs that started under Bush…and have accelerated under Obama at a pace that would scare the boots off of John Force:
The Patriot Act – Gave an inordinate amount of power and secrecy to government.
The creation of Homeland Security Department – Gave power to cavity search 90 year old grandmothers.
Election of Obama – Installed the least experienced, least vetted phantom ever to the Presidency.
TARP, Porkulus, Bailouts, Federal Reserve – Evaporated trillions of Tax-payer dollars; 16 Trillion debt
Health Care – Government takes control of 1/7th of the economy and eliminates choice.
Senate/Congress – Operate three years in a row without a budget.
Energy Policy – No drilling, no Keystone Pipeline – keeps gas prices artificially high – Solyndra, etc.
FEMA Camps – Erection of civilian detainment camps across the country (media stays silent).
Food Police – Government takes control of privately grown food and milk.
Water Act – Gives the Federal Government ownership of every body of water in the country.
NDAA – Allows US Military to arrest and detain indefinitely US Citizens on US Soil.
SOPA – Gives government the power to regulate content on the Internet (the last free place on Earth).
(Some of these bills/acts actually have names, but Wikipedia is down today, thanks to SOPA…and I’m too lazy to research other sites…)
It doesn’t take a TIN FOIL HAT wearer to see a pattern emerging. The government is gobbling up the last vestiges of a free society that could possibly sustain itself after a monetary collapse – which is coming. Something is happening…this all can’t be just a coincidence. Government now completely controls energy, food, water, the local military, health care access, communications, the news media, the money supply…and finally, the internet. Does this seem like just a bunch of randomness to anyone ???
Owebama will get – with little objection – another 1.2 Trillion dollar raise to the debt ceiling. The United States credit rating has been downgraded, and our debt just grew larger than the size of our economy for the first time ever. Economies around the globe are defaulting, which will create a ripple-effect throughout the globe. The housing market is undergoing a badly needed correction…the money supply is next. What happens when China runs out of money to lend to us? Who are we going to mooch off of next?

Some of you may feel comforted that the big, warm loving hands of government are enrapturing your life, giving you hope and sustenance. Some of you actually believe that Big Nanny truly cares about your life and your needs. Some of you will even literally lay in the streets and call on Big Nanny to bottle feed you.
Nobody could be purposely as woefully inept at fixing our economy as team Obama – unless their goal is to keep the economy bad, and as many people as possible reliant on government. Why would government do such a thing? Simple – those who rely on government will be easiest to control and the least likely to oppose their sugar daddy.
I just hope when Janet Napolitano finishes reading this blog, as she surely does, that when she sends a team of black-suits to round me up, I get some moisturizing soap-on-a-rope, because my skin dries out when I get crammed into a FEMA camp somewhere in the Midwest. We all have our tolerance levels…soon enough, those big, warm loving hands will be wrapped around YOUR throat, too.

Round-n-Round
Post Published: 13 December 2011The wimpy Republicans, led by Boehner, recently offered a budget reduction of 1.2 Trillion. That sounds pretty good…until you realize that it was over a 10 year period. That is a very wimpy 120 Billion per year….PEANUTS in the overall scope of the size of the federal budget.
For example, last year Big Nanny handed out 4.7 billion for heating assistance – giving money to poor people to pay their heating bills. This year, Team Obama is giving them 2.6 Billion. If any Republican made cuts like that, it would be the major news story on all the media outlets. Matt Lauer would be bawling his eyes out. Katie Couric would be enraged. The DNC attack machine would be in full gear throwing out verbal bombs like “DRACONIAN” five times on every State controlled news program. JarJar Wasserman-Shultz would be reciting the DNC talking points verbatim over-and-over-and-over. The headlines on the New York Times would read, “GOP Wants People to Die”.

So…who is it that wants to keep the government from reducing spending? A RINO from Maine named, ironically, Snowe:
“A bipartisan effort to restore funding to the federal program is underway on Capitol Hill, where lawmakers are urging quick action. The LIHEAP Protection Act was introduced by Republican Sen. Olympia Snowe of Maine, independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Democratic Sen. Jack Reed of Rhode Island.
“It’s a very paltry sum that the president is proposing given the dimension of the needs of this program and the cost of energy that continues to rise,” Snowe said.”
RINO-Snowe is actually arguing for MORE SPENDING which is exactly what “bi-partisan” always means in Washington DC…
So, instead of allowing an increase in supply to lower energy prices, these Washingdunces are fighting about the amounts of handing out other people’s money. This is the typical way our broken government works. Rather than attack the REAL problem of high energy prices, they subsidize BOTH the energy companies AND the consumer. This government interference is causing the problem AND artificially raising prices for everyone involved.
If we had a workable, reasonable energy policy, we wouldn’t need to subsidize anything…and the Congress could get back to the business of messing up everything else.

Post Published: 26 November 2011The Wall Street Occupying and Criminal Destruction of Property craze of 2011 seems to be losing some steam. Apparently, they’ve run out of money and places in which to publicly eliminate. My favorite story was the one where the street bums were forbidden from the mess halls due to lack of resources. The very people who believe that unlimited resources should be bestowed onto them, had no tolerance for sharing their limited resources with others. Their hypocritical desire to be the recipients of public charity proved antithetical to their desire to provide others the same charity.
This is the problem with Socialism, Communism, and all other forms of Central Command and Control styles of government: Those at the top NEVER abide by the standards they impose upon others.
In Liberalism, you see people like Albert Gore squallering about the negative effects of C02, while he produces 400x more than anyone else. In Republicans, you often see a politician preaching of family values right before he is arrested for kanoodling with his teenaged page. In Socialism, you see their economies imploding because their leaders accepted bribes and misdirected public funds in order to benefit themselves. In our Democracy, you see Team Obama misappropriating billions of dollars to their largest campaign donors, while labeling those asking some logical questions as corrupt.
The “Occupiers” really seem to be favoring Communism – a system where they are all treated equally and get jobs and houses provided to them; where everyone is someone, and everyone is a part of the collective….just like the Borg on Star Trek.
In China, they have just such a system. They have 1.5 Billion people and an average yearly household income of $3,300.00. That is almost enough for the average “occupier” to purchase a laptop computer, some new Birkenstocks, and 3 months worth of Starbuck’s coffee – yet this is the system they are salivating over.

Even in Red Communist China, the corruption is rampant, the politicians are money hoarders, and their kids drive Ferraris. The leaders of China ordered parts of their society to work for a time on farms to reconnect with the land, all while their own kids attend fancy private schools and drive $200,000 cars.

You see, Occupiers, even in your dream society, the rich and powerful still exist, they still run everything, and the people are basically powerless to do anything about it. The people have no weapons with which to overthrow the government, and that was by design. The government controls the food, transportation, communications and everything else needed to enact any type of regime change, and that was by design. The government controls the schools, the media, the advertising, the newscasts, and all other forms of interpersonal communication, and that was by design.
When you hear crazy conservatives bemoaning even the smallest acquisition of power by Big Nanny, it is because we have actually studied history, and we are watching China. Every time Team Obama takes over the banks and assorted private manufacturing firms, and attempts to take control of cell phones, the internet, talk radio, the 2nd Amendment, and the energy sector – you should take notice. It is your future and your freedom that is at risk, too.
Unless you like being told how to live by the 1%…which is what will happen when you accept the ‘FREE’ jobs, schooling, housing, and future THEY bestow upon you.
Panderer-in-Chief
Post Published: 09 November 2011All throughout his campaign, candidate Obama insisted he would be about a “new-tone” in Washington…bi-partisan approaches…open and ethical government…meetings televised on C-Span. All throughout 2009, Team Obama did NONE OF THOSE THINGS. In referring to Republicans, Team Obama’s team captain repeatedly made statements similar to “Why would we have those who created the problem help solve the problem?” Next came the closed meetings, back-room deal making, voting before reading the bills, etc.
And then the earthquake. No – not the tragic one in Haiti…the one in Massachusetts. The deepest, darkest of “blue states” voted a Republican into Ted Kennedy’s seat. My faith in Americans everywhere was restored. When the country needed them, the independent voters in Massachusetts stepped up and threw off the BLUE stranglehold, and restored some much needed sanity back into the political fray.
The hard-core left, of course, blamed the local candidate for not trying hard enough. But Obama seems to have taken notice:

While the rest of Team Obama is running around trying to do damage control, it seems the President himself might be starting to get the message. I remain cynical, for now. Obama’s entire history suggests he is incapable of governing from the center…but with his poll numbers tanking faster than the economy and his health care legacy, he now says it is time to let the Republicans sit at the negotiating table. Is it because of two devastating earthquakes in one week, or is he simply becoming the “Panderer-in-Chief”…???

Yea, yea…you already know that the CEO of GE is Obama’s “Jobs Czar”…it would not be funny if it weren’t true.
This one is the best: “After long vacation, Obama offers Jobs Bill.”
I don’t know about you, but I haven’t had a real vacation in 4 or 5 years. I guess I’m just not smart enough to figure out how to get the taxpayers to foot-the-bill. All I would need is a good teleprompter programming team and a running mate that could make a truck tire sound intelligent…and some campaign cash. I wonder what Paris Hilton is doing in 2016 ??
Why not Young/Hilton 2012 you ask? Simple: Michelle Obama may be the only person on the planet who could out-shop and out-vacation Ms. Hilton, so we would lose the support of the travel and hospitality industry, which, thanks to the Obama’s, is one of the few bright spots in the economy. Plus, with all the extra miles being put on Air Force One, I want to wait for a full overhaul and tune-up before I fly AF1 all around the world.
With all the vacationing, golfing, and speechifying, one thing is without question…Obama does not like to work. He hates it. He has no use for it. Work is for rich people. Rich people work in order to make money to hand over to the government. The government exists to fund the Obama’s vacation packages…and also to prop up businesses like Solyndra and Bank of America.
The ONLY verified job Obama has ever had was an ice cream shop…and he had to steal a social security number to get that job. The number Obama has been using belongs to Harrison J. Bounel:

When a person has never really held down a job, never worked like a dog day-in and day-out, and never seen ½ their paycheck swallowed up in taxes, they have no idea how angry those who do become when they see this hard earned money wasted or given to those who do not contribute in exchange for votes. It is painfully obvious that Team Obama – in the words of Mitt Romney – “don’t have a clue how to create jobs.” How could they?
Now, Obama stands on the soapbox telling others to pass more and more of his already proven failed policies. The President has clearly chosen sides…and in doing so, has made himself an enemy to small business owners everywhere. The very people who COULD create jobs under the right set of conditions have simply chosen to wait until January 2013 to begin hiring…if, and only if, the Republicans send a true conservative job creator to Washington. When the President chose to side with the Soros/Unions/Greens/Redistribution wing…and send them trillions of stimulus dollars – he abandoned the half of the country that actually PRODUCES wealth and jobs.
The very most fundamental part of the economic cycle is what Team Obama simply refuses to acknowledge. It goes like this: Profits = Wealth. Wealth = Profits.
The more government skims off the profits, the less wealth there is. The more government skims off the wealth, the less profit there is. When government inserts itself into the business cycle, it reduces the potential for a business to make a profit. The profit a business makes allows it to create expenses. Expenses means the business is spending money…buying goods and paying wages. The more businesses there are paying wages, the more wealth people (consumers) have to purchase goods and services. If the government is consuming the wealth in the form of taxes, the less money consumers have to make purchases.
Taking money from the productive sectors (Small Businesses) and productive members (free market workers) of society, and giving it to the non-productive sectors (Solyndra, Brazillian Oil) and non-productive members (unions, govt., welfare) simply terminates wealth. The greater the degree of termination, the slower the rate of economic recovery…if it recovers at all.
Obama’s ideology is what drives him. Unfortunately, it also drives about half the country. The non-producers DEMAND that the producers hand over more and more and more of the wealth in the name of fairness. Look at Greece and England…the non-producers destroyed their own countries with burning and looting in a hissy fit demanding a larger share of the wealth cycle in which they had no positive input. It happens here in the United States every time a Democrat Legislator offers up a bill…a bill the producers pay for and the non-producers benefit from. For a non-producer, govt. freebies = votes.
When wealth is terminated, jobs are terminated. It is that simple. Taking a dollar and increasing it to two dollars is considered EVIL in Obama’s mind. Taking the dollar from a person who can make it into two dollars, and handing it to a person who terminates the dollar is considered NOBLE in Obama’s mind. At some point, the ability to be noble simply runs dry.
Jimmy Carter must just sit at home in his easy chair and weep to himself that he is finally, at long last, #2.
Liberal Guilt
Post Published: 03 November 2011I haven’t figured out how people choose their ideology; Conservative, Liberal, Independent. I consider myself a common-sense conservative: Small government, balanced budgets, follow the Constitution. I have some Libertarianism mixed in: Free markets, personal responsibility, mind your own business. I have an Independent streak: I don’t like the two-party system – I wish we had more choices. And I strongly identify with the Tea Party: Stop bailing out, stop over-spending, and reduce the debt so our grandkids don’t get stuck with the bill.
What I do not get at all is the Liberal. I think it comes from learning not to steal from others, or wishing I had what they have. Current Liberalism is even worse – they think they have a right and a duty to take from one group and hand it to another. The skunks occupying Wall Street firmly believe they have a right to freebies of all kinds just because they are breathing. They have never faced any real adversity, like our grandparents facing WWII or a Great Depression. Their over-affluence and liberal upbringing has ruined their natural internal initiative. Like babies, they lay on their backs waiting for someone to feed them.
Some of my first experiences with Liberalism occurred when I lived in the Wood River Valley:
I remember the lady who chained herself to an old, rotten, dead cottonwood tree that needed moved to make way for a road improvement project. She was protecting the trees and the natural beauty of the forest. The news media later did a television interview on the front porch of her LOG CABIN.
I remember the awards and banquets to benefit the environment, and then all the participants would drive home in their massive Hummers and SUV’s to these huge mansions in the mountains that destroyed large sections of the environment and natural wildlife habitat.
I remember the DNC talking points spouted everywhere poo-pooing “trickle-down economics”, when the Wood River Valley was (and is) the epicenter of trickle-down economics. Every single job in that area is the result of rich people spending money. Tourism, plumbers, construction, electricians, property management, ski instructors, etc. all exist solely because of rich people wanting things and services. Without “trickle-down” the whole valley dries up and blows away.
I remember the multi-millionaire actress who approached me – a guy making $8/hr. painting houses (and taking home about $6 after taxes) – for a donation to some stupid cause or another, and then getting belligerent with me when I suggested she could easily fund the entire thing herself.
What I learned is that Liberals are the masters of “Do as I say, not as I do” and the most hypocritical bunch of humans on planet Earth. They pretend to love the environment, but pollute 100x more than the average person (think Al Gore). They love trees and natural habitat, but build massive homes right on top of it all. They hate C02 and Big Oil, but drive Hummers and enormous SUV’s. They want to pay more taxes in public, but hide their money in every way possible at their CPA’s office. They all know the right words to speak to each other at their huge, landfill gorging parties, and that’s all that really matters. As long as they show up and donate to the DNC and say the right things to the media and their friends, their personal actions will be overlooked every time.
As a poor kid living in that area, it never once occurred to me to ride my bicycle up to Sun Valley and camp out on some rich guy’s yard until he gave me some money. I never felt that any of my rich classmates had ought to hand over a portion of their lunch money to me. I never told any of them it was their duty to “spread their wealth” around. I never thought of initiating a collective (union) of other poor kids to shake down the rich kids and confiscate their excesses. It never occurred to me that the rich kids should pay $25.00 to get into a school dance, while others should only have to pay $2.00 just to make it “fair”.
I never went to the base of Bald Mountain and told some rich kid he had to let me use his skis and pass for ½ the day because it was his civic duty, plus give me $25 for a hamburger, and if he didn’t, I would go on Oprah and tell everyone he was selfish and greedy, and wanted poor kids to suffer needlessly and starve. Maybe I should have, but my mind just doesn’t work like a Liberal’s.
Now kids in the Wood River Valley are so overly-affluent, they have the free time and energy to banish the plastic grocery bag from their midst. A problem that 99.99999% of other kids in the world would never even consider a problem (since they have BIGGER problems on a day-to-day basis) has become the cause-of-the-minute for the children of the mansioneers. Each and every one of those kids has contributed more waste to the landfills, more C02 into the air, and used more non-renewable fuels and energy than 99% of humans on Earth. Their lavish parties, extended vacations, air travel, cruises, and lifestyles have caused more environmental damage than 10,000 years of plastic bags ever will. Whatever helps to ease their inherited liberal guilt…
I’ll say hi to all the 5B license plates that come to Twin Falls to shop…probably be seeing a few more real soon.

Lizard Brains
Post Published: 17 October 2011I’ve been reading lately about the Lizard Brain Theory. I ran across the reference in a book by Seth Godin who wrote:
The lizard brain.
Or as Steven Pressfield describes it, the resistance. The resistance is the voice in the back of our head telling us to back off, be careful, go slow, compromise. The resistance is writer’s block and putting jitters and every project that ever shipped late because people couldn’t stay on the same page long enough to get something out the door.
The resistance grows in strength as we get closer to shipping, as we get closer to an insight, as we get closer to the truth of what we really want. That’s because the lizard hates change and achievement and risk.
The lizard is a physical part of your brain, the pre-historic lump near the brain stem that is responsible for fear and rage and reproductive drive. Why did the chicken cross the road? Because her lizard brain told her to.”
The lizard brain is the part of your brain that infants use. Nobody taught a baby to cry when it is hungry – a baby just does it. Nobody taught a baby to eat, breathe, cry, or poop – it just does it. The lizard brain is capable of learning…but not rationalizing. A baby learns to walk, but isn’t saying to itself, “Gee, my legs are flabby and underdeveloped, my balance is awful, and gravity will only push me down…” the baby just learns to walk anyway. The baby hasn’t learned to rationalize or succumb to fear or remember past events that shaped its future outlook.
The difference between an animal and a human is the ability to consider the consequences of an action. Dogs, for example, will consume a vile chunk of smelly (insert your own noun), and then want to lick your face. They don’t consider the fact that you, the human, are disgusted by such actions. A dog doesn’t care about fresh breath and white teeth. A dog doesn’t consider the health ramifications or societal impact of eating rotten stuff – it just does it.
When humans find themselves in trouble, it is usually the result of a lizard brain decision. Take bacon, for example. A dog (and humans like me) would sit on the floor and continue to eat the bacon as long as a human was handing it to us. If the human said to the dog, “Fluffy, we only have 5 more pounds of bacon left. You should stop eating, and save some for later, because we only have a limited supply.” FLUFFY WOULDN’T CARE…fluffy would eat all 5 lbs. and keep eating as long as the bacon was being provided. Fluffy does not have the ability to rationalize the future implications of the decision to gobble up all the bacon right now. Fluffy doesn’t understand the demand/supply principle…Fluffy only understands the demand side of the equation.
The lizard brains control government.
When Team Obama spends 4.2 TRILLION dollars, but only has 2.5 TRILLION available, that is the result of the lizard brain controlling the decision-making process. A fully developed adult human would never borrow and spend to such a perilous degree. The lizard brain only knows what feels good in the moment, and gobbles up limited resources as if they were unlimited. The lizard brain has learned to justify its actions by speaking lizard language to other lizard brains. The lizard brain, which is driven by illogical fear, is highly susceptible to words like “take turns” and “fairness” and “sharing”…these are words learned in kindergarten, and the concepts stay with us forever; even though they are misused by highly adaptable lizards who have learned to control all the lower lizards.
Adults realize that eating all the bacon at one sitting may feel really, really good…but the consequences could be really, really bad. A drug addict, who functions almost entirely in lizard-mode, will often loot, steal, and plunder to acquire what he feels he needs. A small child, who doesn’t have the ability to fully control his lizardness yet, will throw a temper-tantrum in the store when he doesn’t get the candy he feels he should have. An Occupy Wall Street protester will burn, loot, harass, and defecate in public when he doesn’t get the entitlements he feels he deserves from society.
We all have our lizard brain moments. Sometimes, the lizard keeps us alive by reminding us of things like “don’t touch fire, it is hot” and “eating that tamale from the roach coach might cause uncontrollable diarrhea”. There are times when the lizard should be paid attention to. But if you find yourself camping on pavement, showering infrequently, unintentionally growing dreadlocks, and demanding things from others that you should be getting for yourself…it is time to reign in the lizard.
Camping at Grandma’s

If a family household budget was compared to Team Obama spending, it would look like this:
Annual Income: $ 55,000.00
Annual Spending: $ 96,500.00
Yearly Deficit (Amount borrowed): $41,500.00
Total Credit Card Debt: $ 366,000.00
What would you think about your neighbor that was in this predicament? (Wow…YOU are nice.)
I’m not: I would think they are mentally ill – possibly criminal – and in need of serious help.
The difference is, the neighbors are spending their own money. There is the very real possibility of their possessions being taken away, their credit being destroyed thru bankruptcy, and their lives being ruined.
Team Obama faces no such recrimination. They actually feel obligated, righteous, and duty-bound to implement their Keynsian solution-less solutions. They have actually convinced themselves – and others – that they “prevented the next Great Depression” with their deficit spending. There may even be a tiny bit of truth to that statement. However, what they fail to see or admit is all they really did was kick the can down the road.
I agree with Ron Paul when he talks about “liquidation” of the bad debt. By propping up “too big to fail” and borrowing all that money, they may have prevented a crash. But the crash was going to happen, and is going to happen, whether you want it to or not. There would have been a hard crash, and a fast recovery…or a slow crash (like we are witnessing) and a very, very slow recovery. The difference with the hard crash is that there would be more stable money rather than printing and borrowing several TRILLION dollars, lower inflation, and a better restructuring or rebuilding (or replacing) of failed companies. We wouldn’t have added 5-6 TRILLION to the debt. Companies would be rebuilding and replacing workers. Employment would be recovering. The stable, prudent banks would be lending again and housing would be recovering.
From the Dave Ramsey article:
“ The federal government will take in $2.173 trillion in 2011. That’s their income, and it sounds pretty good. Until, that is, you factor in that the federal government will spend $3.818 trillion during the year. Many people, including Obama, incorrectly interchange the terms “deficit” and “debt”…they are not the same thing. A deficit can be avoided…the debt is the debt.
To clarify: The DEFICIT is the number that reflects the difference between how much the government takes in vs. how much it spends. If they take in more than they spend, the term is SURPLUS, like when Newt ran congress. The deficit or surplus are typically figures with a time attached to them, i.e., daily, monthly, yearly.

Seriously, if you want to scare some kids at Halloween, have the debt clock on your television by the front door when they come knocking…
So, when your paycheck is $500…do you spend 175% of each paycheck? If your paycheck is $500…do you spend $875 ? Why not? Because sooner or later, you would end up behind bars. Griping that your paycheck is too small, and needs to be much larger even though your job performance is horrible, is not rational. Team Obama would have you believe businesses, banks, and Wall Street are the criminals, and to some degree, they are. But how can he label the people that send him his paycheck the “bad guy” and the people who spend 175% of that paycheck the “good” guy? This BizarroWorld, twisted, mind-numbing hypocrisy that Liberals defend day after day is why the Democrats have lost their very last shred of integrity.
A responsible, principled adult would feel guilty spending more money than they had available – even other people’s money. As kids, if Grandma sent us to the store with a $5 bill to buy eggs, we didn’t ask her to give us her credit card, so we could also bring home some Kobe Beef and Lobster just in case the First Lady popped in for dinner. If she gave us $5, we’d better bring back $4 and some change.
This new generation would tell Grandma to give us the $5 for the eggs, plus $7 for a delivery fee, $18 for an FDA permit to inspect farm fresh dairy, another $6 to comply with current regulations relating to child labor, $3 to download an app with a map of how to get to the store, $12 to cover the hardship costs of walking that far, $8 for an insurance rider in case of an accident on the way, plus $450 for a new video game, a tattoo, and an iPhone “or all of my friends will start camping out in front of your house, G-Ma”.
Choking Liberty

Most of those warnings fall on deaf ears because none of it makes much sense to the average, busy American…it just sounds like political blather that most believe “won’t affect my life”. Here are just a very few recent examples of why you should care, and might want to start paying attention.
1.) The Durbin Debit Fee:

This article describes how Senator Durbin (D-Ill) inserted an Amendment into the disastrous Frank/Dodd bill that shifted the cost of debit card transaction fees from the retailer to the bank. By forcing “price-controls”, the government’s meddling into the free market is going to force the elimination of Free Checking accounts. Get ready to start paying a monthly fee for the privilege of using your debit card.

This article describes the 3,200 page bill that is the main reason no one can get a home loan. It grants Liberty-destroying power to 11 Federal Agencies who are tasked with creating and implementing 400 new regulations. How much time and money does it cost a lender to read, understand, and implement 3,200 pages and 400 new regulations? Any interference in the free market will sap the momentum from any hope of a recovery. This bill is the main reason Bank of America is raising debit card fees and laying off 30,000 employees.
3.) NLRB Sues Boeing
This article describes how the Federal Government is suing Boeing for opening a plant in South Carolina. Team Obama and their allies are angry because the South Carolina plant does not have to hire Union Workers. What happened to Liberty and Freedom? Why should ANY private company be forced to hire union workers? Why would the Federal Government insert itself into the middle of such a decision? Would they prefer Boeing open a plant in China or India?

This article describes how the Federal Government is spending millions of dollars and untold manpower to protect and defend export laws IN INDIA !! So I guess we are the police of the world, now. (weird, I don’t hear any Libs sqwacking about this one…). Rather than arrest the broker – whose job it is to confirm and package the foreign materials for shipment correctly and legally – Team Obama feels the compulsion to attack another American-made company. What happens when a company feels threatened and has to spend millions of dollars on a frivolous lawsuit? They think about moving to China…
5.) UN Treaty on Guns

For years, there has been a rumor that Team Obama will attempt to circumvent the US Constitution by signing a UN Treaty that forbids private gun ownership. Whether or not this ever happens will depend on the makeup of the Congress and Senate in the future. The “Fast and Furious” story ties into that because Team Obama is attempting to make it look like US Gun manufacturers are directly responsible for arming Mexican drug cartels, ergo – we need UN Treaties and International laws to control domestic gun manufacturers. One thing I know for sure: If UN troops attempt to occupy US Soil in an effort to do ANYTHING, the resulting push-back by armed Americans will not go very favorably for those UN Troops. US Lawmakers – including the President – are sworn to protect and defend the US Constitution – not UN Treaties. It sucks that I actually have to write that…
6.) Solyndra
Loaning ½ a BILLION dollars to a shaky company was more than just foolish…it was criminal. Someone in Team Obama needs to be sitting in a jail cell. With the king of corruption, Eric Holder, in charge, it probably won’t happen very soon. Why should you care? Ummm…this was YOUR MONEY that was lost. The more money they squander, the more they ask for. They waste, steal, mis-allocate, lose, misplace, misappropriate – use any word you want – TRILLIONS of dollars, and then scold us for not wanting to send them more and more and more.
LIBERTY. It is an important word. It actually means something to free people. The slaves who sit in front of Wall Street and demand more free stuff will never understand the meaning of the word LIBERTY, or FREEDOM. They have become so dependent on the state, that they actually have enough free time to camp out on the street making incoherent demands. A free man knows it is his responsibility to find or create his own job…but without the freedom from millions upon millions of government piles of paper, hoops, and regulations, making your way becomes harder and harder…until the State is the only provider.
We have an entire generation – and administration – who have no gumption, no creativity, no ingenuity, and no sense of entrepreneurship. The capitalism that houses, feeds, educates, and employs us all has become the new “boogey-man” of the left. The “State” is their religion, and the “system” is their evil. Their men are lazy, neutered slaves that live with their parents and lay around smoking pot and playing video games; their women are foul-mouthed, sloppily dressed, and angry. These anti-capitalist Wall Street-occupying bums who demand more and more from the state can’t even see that the monster they feed off is the same monster that drains them of their initiative.
And maybe that is the plan.

I don’t know about you, but I haven’t had a real vacation in 4 or 5 years. I guess I’m just not smart enough to figure out how to get the taxpayers to foot-the-bill. All I would need is a good teleprompter programming team and a running mate that could make a truck tire sound intelligent…and some campaign cash. I wonder what Paris Hilton is doing in 2016 ??
Why not Young/Hilton 2012 you ask? Simple: Michelle Obama may be the only person on the planet who could out-shop and out-vacation Ms. Hilton, so we would lose the support of the travel and hospitality industry, which, thanks to the Obama’s, is one of the few bright spots in the economy. Plus, with all the extra miles being put on Air Force One, I want to wait for a full overhaul and tune-up before I fly AF1 all around the world.
With all the vacationing, golfing, and speechifying, one thing is without question…Obama does not like to work. He hates it. He has no use for it. Work is for rich people. Rich people work in order to make money to hand over to the government. The government exists to fund the Obama’s vacation packages…and also to prop up businesses like Solyndra and Bank of America.

When a person has never really held down a job, never worked like a dog day-in and day-out, and never seen ½ their paycheck swallowed up in taxes, they have no idea how angry those who do become when they see this hard earned money wasted or given to those who do not contribute in exchange for votes. It is painfully obvious that Team Obama – in the words of Mitt Romney – “don’t have a clue how to create jobs.” How could they?
Now, Obama stands on the soapbox telling others to pass more and more of his already proven failed policies. The President has clearly chosen sides…and in doing so, has made himself an enemy to small business owners everywhere. The very people who COULD create jobs under the right set of conditions have simply chosen to wait until January 2013 to begin hiring…if, and only if, the Republicans send a true conservative job creator to Washington. When the President chose to side with the Soros/Unions/Greens/Redistribution wing…and send them trillions of stimulus dollars – he abandoned the half of the country that actually PRODUCES wealth and jobs.
The very most fundamental part of the economic cycle is what Team Obama simply refuses to acknowledge. It goes like this: Profits = Wealth. Wealth = Profits.
The more government skims off the profits, the less wealth there is. The more government skims off the wealth, the less profit there is. When government inserts itself into the business cycle, it reduces the potential for a business to make a profit. The profit a business makes allows it to create expenses. Expenses means the business is spending money…buying goods and paying wages. The more businesses there are paying wages, the more wealth people (consumers) have to purchase goods and services. If the government is consuming the wealth in the form of taxes, the less money consumers have to make purchases.
Taking money from the productive sectors (Small Businesses) and productive members (free market workers) of society, and giving it to the non-productive sectors (Solyndra, Brazillian Oil) and non-productive members (unions, govt., welfare) simply terminates wealth. The greater the degree of termination, the slower the rate of economic recovery…if it recovers at all.
Obama’s ideology is what drives him. Unfortunately, it also drives about half the country. The non-producers DEMAND that the producers hand over more and more and more of the wealth in the name of fairness. Look at Greece and England…the non-producers destroyed their own countries with burning and looting in a hissy fit demanding a larger share of the wealth cycle in which they had no positive input. It happens here in the United States every time a Democrat Legislator offers up a bill…a bill the producers pay for and the non-producers benefit from. For a non-producer, govt. freebies = votes.
When wealth is terminated, jobs are terminated. It is that simple. Taking a dollar and increasing it to two dollars is considered EVIL in Obama’s mind. Taking the dollar from a person who can make it into two dollars, and handing it to a person who terminates the dollar is considered NOBLE in Obama’s mind. At some point, the ability to be noble simply runs dry.
Jimmy Carter must just sit at home in his easy chair and weep to himself that he is finally, at long last, #2.
