I haven’t written a blog for a while.

No…I wasn’t rounded up by our National Guard at the direction of Homeland Security…yet. The attacks on Freedom by our extremist leftist government seem to go relatively unnoticed, which is what happens when you have a complicit, neutered, lapdog news media. I also use the term “leftist” when I describe our own Idaho congressional delegates, who seem to vote in favor of every governmental power grab that comes along in unshakeable lockstep with Team Obama and Hairy Reed. I have no idea what the words ‘Republican’ and ‘Democrat’ even signify anymore…

It’s as if the United States Constitution doesn’t even exist – and never has. Let’s take a quick overview of a string of extremely disturbing power grabs that started under Bush…and have accelerated under Obama at a pace that would scare the boots off of John Force:

The Patriot Act – Gave an inordinate amount of power and secrecy to government.

The creation of Homeland Security Department – Gave power to cavity search 90 year old grandmothers.

Election of Obama – Installed the least experienced, least vetted phantom ever to the Presidency.

TARP, Porkulus, Bailouts, Federal Reserve – Evaporated trillions of Tax-payer dollars; 16 Trillion debt

Health Care – Government takes control of 1/7th of the economy and eliminates choice.

Senate/Congress – Operate three years in a row without a budget.

Energy Policy – No drilling, no Keystone Pipeline – keeps gas prices artificially high – Solyndra, etc.

FEMA Camps – Erection of civilian detainment camps across the country (media stays silent).

Food Police – Government takes control of privately grown food and milk.

Water Act – Gives the Federal Government ownership of every body of water in the country.

NDAA – Allows US Military to arrest and detain indefinitely US Citizens on US Soil.

SOPA – Gives government the power to regulate content on the Internet (the last free place on Earth).

(Some of these bills/acts actually have names, but Wikipedia is down today, thanks to SOPA…and I’m too lazy to research other sites…)

It doesn’t take a TIN FOIL HAT wearer to see a pattern emerging. The government is gobbling up the last vestiges of a free society that could possibly sustain itself after a monetary collapse – which is coming. Something is happening…this all can’t be just a coincidence. Government now completely controls energy, food, water, the local military, health care access, communications, the news media, the money supply…and finally, the internet. Does this seem like just a bunch of randomness to anyone ???

Owebama will get – with little objection – another 1.2 Trillion dollar raise to the debt ceiling. The United States credit rating has been downgraded, and our debt just grew larger than the size of our economy for the first time ever. Economies around the globe are defaulting, which will create a ripple-effect throughout the globe. The housing market is undergoing a badly needed correction…the money supply is next. What happens when China runs out of money to lend to us? Who are we going to mooch off of next?

I recommend everyone read the book “Patriots” by James Wesley Rawles…or don’t. Your choice.

http://www.rawles.to/patriots.htm

Some of you may feel comforted that the big, warm loving hands of government are enrapturing your life, giving you hope and sustenance. Some of you actually believe that Big Nanny truly cares about your life and your needs. Some of you will even literally lay in the streets and call on Big Nanny to bottle feed you.

Nobody could be purposely as woefully inept at fixing our economy as team Obama – unless their goal is to keep the economy bad, and as many people as possible reliant on government. Why would government do such a thing? Simple – those who rely on government will be easiest to control and the least likely to oppose their sugar daddy.

I just hope when Janet Napolitano finishes reading this blog, as she surely does, that when she sends a team of black-suits to round me up, I get some moisturizing soap-on-a-rope, because my skin dries out when I get crammed into a FEMA camp somewhere in the Midwest. We all have our tolerance levels…soon enough, those big, warm loving hands will be wrapped around YOUR throat, too.

When – and if – my grandkids ever have access to my ramblings…please know this:

I am embarrassed, saddened, and sickened by my generation. We stole from you to finance so much nonsense. We borrowed from you before you were even born. We were so selfish and entitled, that we even stole from people who haven’t earned their first dollar. You should not have to pay for our excesses. We were weak, pitiful losers. We were so busy enjoying your money that we allowed government to run wild. I tried to speak out…I couldn’t stop the madness. I am sorry. ~ Tom Young

The wimpy Republicans, led by Boehner, recently offered a budget reduction of 1.2 Trillion. That sounds pretty good…until you realize that it was over a 10 year period. That is a very wimpy 120 Billion per year….PEANUTS in the overall scope of the size of the federal budget.

For example, last year Big Nanny handed out 4.7 billion for heating assistance – giving money to poor people to pay their heating bills. This year, Team Obama is giving them 2.6 Billion. If any Republican made cuts like that, it would be the major news story on all the media outlets. Matt Lauer would be bawling his eyes out. Katie Couric would be enraged. The DNC attack machine would be in full gear throwing out verbal bombs like “DRACONIAN” five times on every State controlled news program. JarJar Wasserman-Shultz would be reciting the DNC talking points verbatim over-and-over-and-over. The headlines on the New York Times would read, “GOP Wants People to Die”.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/12/12/cuts-to-fed-heat-aid-could-leave-many-in-cold/

So…who is it that wants to keep the government from reducing spending? A RINO from Maine named, ironically, Snowe:

“A bipartisan effort to restore funding to the federal program is underway on Capitol Hill, where lawmakers are urging quick action. The LIHEAP Protection Act was introduced by Republican Sen. Olympia Snowe of Maine, independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Democratic Sen. Jack Reed of Rhode Island.

“It’s a very paltry sum that the president is proposing given the dimension of the needs of this program and the cost of energy that continues to rise,” Snowe said.”

RINO-Snowe is actually arguing for MORE SPENDING which is exactly what “bi-partisan” always means in Washington DC…

So, instead of allowing an increase in supply to lower energy prices, these Washingdunces are fighting about the amounts of handing out other people’s money. This is the typical way our broken government works. Rather than attack the REAL problem of high energy prices, they subsidize BOTH the energy companies AND the consumer. This government interference is causing the problem AND artificially raising prices for everyone involved.

http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/energy/story/2011-12-13/electric-bills/51840042/1?loc=interstitialskip

If we had a workable, reasonable energy policy, we wouldn’t need to subsidize anything…and the Congress could get back to the business of messing up everything else.

The headlines:

Bank of America to slash 40,000 jobs. Solyndra closes, dumps thousands of workers. Unemployment rate up AFTER trillions invested in economy. Union Workers take hostages in Washington State. GE Corp ships thousands of jobs to China.

Yea, yea…you already know that the CEO of GE is Obama’s “Jobs Czar”…it would not be funny if it weren’t true.

This one is the best: “After long vacation, Obama offers Jobs Bill.”

I don’t know about you, but I haven’t had a real vacation in 4 or 5 years. I guess I’m just not smart enough to figure out how to get the taxpayers to foot-the-bill. All I would need is a good teleprompter programming team and a running mate that could make a truck tire sound intelligent…and some campaign cash. I wonder what Paris Hilton is doing in 2016 ??

Why not Young/Hilton 2012 you ask? Simple: Michelle Obama may be the only person on the planet who could out-shop and out-vacation Ms. Hilton, so we would lose the support of the travel and hospitality industry, which, thanks to the Obama’s, is one of the few bright spots in the economy. Plus, with all the extra miles being put on Air Force One, I want to wait for a full overhaul and tune-up before I fly AF1 all around the world.

With all the vacationing, golfing, and speechifying, one thing is without question…Obama does not like to work. He hates it. He has no use for it. Work is for rich people. Rich people work in order to make money to hand over to the government. The government exists to fund the Obama’s vacation packages…and also to prop up businesses like Solyndra and Bank of America.

The ONLY verified job Obama has ever had was an ice cream shop…and he had to steal a social security number to get that job. The number Obama has been using belongs to Harrison J. Bounel:

http://obamareleaseyourrecords.blogspot.com/2011/05/plot-thickens-debt-collector-obamas.html

When a person has never really held down a job, never worked like a dog day-in and day-out, and never seen ½ their paycheck swallowed up in taxes, they have no idea how angry those who do become when they see this hard earned money wasted or given to those who do not contribute in exchange for votes. It is painfully obvious that Team Obama – in the words of Mitt Romney – “don’t have a clue how to create jobs.” How could they?

Now, Obama stands on the soapbox telling others to pass more and more of his already proven failed policies. The President has clearly chosen sides…and in doing so, has made himself an enemy to small business owners everywhere. The very people who COULD create jobs under the right set of conditions have simply chosen to wait until January 2013 to begin hiring…if, and only if, the Republicans send a true conservative job creator to Washington. When the President chose to side with the Soros/Unions/Greens/Redistribution wing…and send them trillions of stimulus dollars – he abandoned the half of the country that actually PRODUCES wealth and jobs.

The very most fundamental part of the economic cycle is what Team Obama simply refuses to acknowledge. It goes like this: Profits = Wealth. Wealth = Profits.

The more government skims off the profits, the less wealth there is. The more government skims off the wealth, the less profit there is. When government inserts itself into the business cycle, it reduces the potential for a business to make a profit. The profit a business makes allows it to create expenses. Expenses means the business is spending money…buying goods and paying wages. The more businesses there are paying wages, the more wealth people (consumers) have to purchase goods and services. If the government is consuming the wealth in the form of taxes, the less money consumers have to make purchases.

Taking money from the productive sectors (Small Businesses) and productive members (free market workers) of society, and giving it to the non-productive sectors (Solyndra, Brazillian Oil) and non-productive members (unions, govt., welfare) simply terminates wealth. The greater the degree of termination, the slower the rate of economic recovery…if it recovers at all.

Obama’s ideology is what drives him. Unfortunately, it also drives about half the country. The non-producers DEMAND that the producers hand over more and more and more of the wealth in the name of fairness. Look at Greece and England…the non-producers destroyed their own countries with burning and looting in a hissy fit demanding a larger share of the wealth cycle in which they had no positive input. It happens here in the United States every time a Democrat Legislator offers up a bill…a bill the producers pay for and the non-producers benefit from. For a non-producer, govt. freebies = votes.

When wealth is terminated, jobs are terminated. It is that simple. Taking a dollar and increasing it to two dollars is considered EVIL in Obama’s mind. Taking the dollar from a person who can make it into two dollars, and handing it to a person who terminates the dollar is considered NOBLE in Obama’s mind. At some point, the ability to be noble simply runs dry.

Jimmy Carter must just sit at home in his easy chair and weep to himself that he is finally, at long last, #2.

Dave Ramsey put out this tidbit not too long ago:

http://www.daveramsey.com/article/federal-budget-vs-household-budget-how-do-they-compare/lifeandmoney_budgeting/?ectid=1105cnlextra_4

If a family household budget was compared to Team Obama spending, it would look like this:

Annual Income: $ 55,000.00

Annual Spending: $ 96,500.00

Yearly Deficit (Amount borrowed): $41,500.00

Total Credit Card Debt: $ 366,000.00

What would you think about your neighbor that was in this predicament? (Wow…YOU are nice.)

I’m not: I would think they are mentally ill – possibly criminal – and in need of serious help.

The difference is, the neighbors are spending their own money. There is the very real possibility of their possessions being taken away, their credit being destroyed thru bankruptcy, and their lives being ruined.

Team Obama faces no such recrimination. They actually feel obligated, righteous, and duty-bound to implement their Keynsian solution-less solutions. They have actually convinced themselves – and others – that they “prevented the next Great Depression” with their deficit spending. There may even be a tiny bit of truth to that statement. However, what they fail to see or admit is all they really did was kick the can down the road.

I agree with Ron Paul when he talks about “liquidation” of the bad debt. By propping up “too big to fail” and borrowing all that money, they may have prevented a crash. But the crash was going to happen, and is going to happen, whether you want it to or not. There would have been a hard crash, and a fast recovery…or a slow crash (like we are witnessing) and a very, very slow recovery. The difference with the hard crash is that there would be more stable money rather than printing and borrowing several TRILLION dollars, lower inflation, and a better restructuring or rebuilding (or replacing) of failed companies. We wouldn’t have added 5-6 TRILLION to the debt. Companies would be rebuilding and replacing workers. Employment would be recovering. The stable, prudent banks would be lending again and housing would be recovering.

From the Dave Ramsey article:

“ The federal government will take in $2.173 trillion in 2011. That’s their income, and it sounds pretty good. Until, that is, you factor in that the federal government will spend $3.818 trillion during the year. So, just like many families, the government’s outgo exceeds their income—to the tune of $1.645 trillion in overspending. That’s called the deficit. Altogether, the government has $14.2 trillion in debt.”

Many people, including Obama, incorrectly interchange the terms “deficit” and “debt”…they are not the same thing. A deficit can be avoided…the debt is the debt.

To clarify: The DEFICIT is the number that reflects the difference between how much the government takes in vs. how much it spends. If they take in more than they spend, the term is SURPLUS, like when Newt ran congress. The deficit or surplus are typically figures with a time attached to them, i.e., daily, monthly, yearly.

The DEBT is the total the government owes to creditors since about 1776. If you want to know the exact figure, go here http://www.usdebtclock.org/ and be horrified. Seriously, if you want to scare some kids at Halloween, have the debt clock on your television by the front door when they come knocking…

So, when your paycheck is $500…do you spend 175% of each paycheck? If your paycheck is $500…do you spend $875 ? Why not? Because sooner or later, you would end up behind bars. Griping that your paycheck is too small, and needs to be much larger even though your job performance is horrible, is not rational. Team Obama would have you believe businesses, banks, and Wall Street are the criminals, and to some degree, they are. But how can he label the people that send him his paycheck the “bad guy” and the people who spend 175% of that paycheck the “good” guy? This BizarroWorld, twisted, mind-numbing hypocrisy that Liberals defend day after day is why the Democrats have lost their very last shred of integrity.

A responsible, principled adult would feel guilty spending more money than they had available – even other people’s money. As kids, if Grandma sent us to the store with a $5 bill to buy eggs, we didn’t ask her to give us her credit card, so we could also bring home some Kobe Beef and Lobster just in case the First Lady popped in for dinner. If she gave us $5, we’d better bring back $4 and some change.

This new generation would tell Grandma to give us the $5 for the eggs, plus $7 for a delivery fee, $18 for an FDA permit to inspect farm fresh dairy, another $6 to comply with current regulations relating to child labor, $3 to download an app with a map of how to get to the store, $12 to cover the hardship costs of walking that far, $8 for an insurance rider in case of an accident on the way, plus $450 for a new video game, a tattoo, and an iPhone “or all of my friends will start camping out in front of your house, G-Ma”.

Many of you hear the messages from Liberty-minded conservatives (and a very few Republicans) that government regulation is choking and stifling the economic recovery. Most of those warnings fall on deaf ears because none of it makes much sense to the average, busy American…it just sounds like political blather that most believe “won’t affect my life”. Here are just a very few recent examples of why you should care, and might want to start paying attention.

1.) The Durbin Debit Fee:

http://spectator.org/archives/2011/09/30/debit-durbin/

This article describes how Senator Durbin (D-Ill) inserted an Amendment into the disastrous Frank/Dodd bill that shifted the cost of debit card transaction fees from the retailer to the bank. By forcing “price-controls”, the government’s meddling into the free market is going to force the elimination of Free Checking accounts. Get ready to start paying a monthly fee for the privilege of using your debit card.

2.) Dodd/Frank:

http://www.freedomworks.org/blog/jhammerton/the-dodd-frank-disaster

This article describes the 3,200 page bill that is the main reason no one can get a home loan. It grants Liberty-destroying power to 11 Federal Agencies who are tasked with creating and implementing 400 new regulations. How much time and money does it cost a lender to read, understand, and implement 3,200 pages and 400 new regulations? Any interference in the free market will sap the momentum from any hope of a recovery. This bill is the main reason Bank of America is raising debit card fees and laying off 30,000 employees.

3.) NLRB Sues Boeing

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2011/04/22/boeing_nrlb_unions_labor_government_white_house_obama_administration_south_carolina_109635.html

This article describes how the Federal Government is suing Boeing for opening a plant in South Carolina. Team Obama and their allies are angry because the South Carolina plant does not have to hire Union Workers. What happened to Liberty and Freedom? Why should ANY private company be forced to hire union workers? Why would the Federal Government insert itself into the middle of such a decision? Would they prefer Boeing open a plant in China or India?

4.) Gibson Guitar Raid

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424053111903895904576542942027859286.html

This article describes how the Federal Government is spending millions of dollars and untold manpower to protect and defend export laws IN INDIA !! So I guess we are the police of the world, now. (weird, I don’t hear any Libs sqwacking about this one…). Rather than arrest the broker – whose job it is to confirm and package the foreign materials for shipment correctly and legally – Team Obama feels the compulsion to attack another American-made company. What happens when a company feels threatened and has to spend millions of dollars on a frivolous lawsuit? They think about moving to China…

5.) UN Treaty on Guns

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-31727_162-20115038-10391695.html

For years, there has been a rumor that Team Obama will attempt to circumvent the US Constitution by signing a UN Treaty that forbids private gun ownership. Whether or not this ever happens will depend on the makeup of the Congress and Senate in the future. The “Fast and Furious” story ties into that because Team Obama is attempting to make it look like US Gun manufacturers are directly responsible for arming Mexican drug cartels, ergo – we need UN Treaties and International laws to control domestic gun manufacturers. One thing I know for sure: If UN troops attempt to occupy US Soil in an effort to do ANYTHING, the resulting push-back by armed Americans will not go very favorably for those UN Troops. US Lawmakers – including the President – are sworn to protect and defend the US Constitution – not UN Treaties. It sucks that I actually have to write that…

6.) Solyndra

http://www.businessweek.com/news/2011-09-29/u-s-knew-solyndra-violating-loan-before-new-deal-official-says.html

Loaning ½ a BILLION dollars to a shaky company was more than just foolish…it was criminal. Someone in Team Obama needs to be sitting in a jail cell. With the king of corruption, Eric Holder, in charge, it probably won’t happen very soon. Why should you care? Ummm…this was YOUR MONEY that was lost. The more money they squander, the more they ask for. They waste, steal, mis-allocate, lose, misplace, misappropriate – use any word you want – TRILLIONS of dollars, and then scold us for not wanting to send them more and more and more.

LIBERTY. It is an important word. It actually means something to free people. The slaves who sit in front of Wall Street and demand more free stuff will never understand the meaning of the word LIBERTY, or FREEDOM. They have become so dependent on the state, that they actually have enough free time to camp out on the street making incoherent demands. A free man knows it is his responsibility to find or create his own job…but without the freedom from millions upon millions of government piles of paper, hoops, and regulations, making your way becomes harder and harder…until the State is the only provider.

We have an entire generation – and administration – who have no gumption, no creativity, no ingenuity, and no sense of entrepreneurship. The capitalism that houses, feeds, educates, and employs us all has become the new “boogey-man” of the left. The “State” is their religion, and the “system” is their evil. Their men are lazy, neutered slaves that live with their parents and lay around smoking pot and playing video games; their women are foul-mouthed, sloppily dressed, and angry. These anti-capitalist Wall Street-occupying bums who demand more and more from the state can’t even see that the monster they feed off is the same monster that drains them of their initiative.

And maybe that is the plan.

I am more and more impressed each day about how Obama’s “new tone” in Washington has taken hold. Candidate Obama read the teleprompter so eloquently when he spoke of changing Washington and building unity and all that other hopey-changey focus-group polled nonsense. I knew it would be impossible for an extreme far leftist to build any type of consensus in a divided congress – he had no record or experience building unity with anyone except Rev. Wright, Bill Ayres, Tony Rezko, Frank Marshall Davis, and the Hawaii Dept. of Records.

What Obama has accomplished has been in direct opposition to the vast majority of Americans – Obamacare, never producing a budget, Amnesty for Illegals, adding 4 TRILLION to the debt, producing a forged Birth Certificate, Keynsian policies of destruction, warring in Libya, ad infinitum. It stands to reason that the Tea Party was born to combat the obvious perception that this President does not have the best interests of most Americans at heart – at least, those Americans who actually produce, contribute, and pay taxes.

There is no disputing that Barack Obama’s family, his upbringing, his education, and his associations are how he developed his extremist ideology. He openly admitted to wanting to spread the wealth and redistribute government resources. (Note: For you public schoolers – government resources = tax dollars + borrowed Chinese dollars). Obamacare is a shining achievement of how to take a broken system and make it work ONLY for those who contribute nothing and take the most. Borrowing money at an unprecedented rate in human history, and spending it on failure after failure with little or no results is not explainable in any other way than: Obama simply hates Capitalism. Doesn’t understand it…never worked in it…thinks he knows a better way…whatever.

How about those Americans who feel that the President is doing irreparable damage to the future of this country? Simple: You get your underlings to start the process of undermining, name calling, and repetition afforded by the Obamanized Der Sturmer news media. You have Joe Biden call the Tea Party “Terrorists” and “Hostage takers” and have John McCain call them “Hobbits”. (Yes – I just inferred that John McCain is an Obama supporter…)

When you start calling those who oppose trillion dollar spending binges, government waste and abuse, and lack of a spending budget “Terrorists” – YOU HAVE LOST THE ARGUMENT. When you are reduced to school yard organized chanting on the news outlets – you have lost. When your incredibly expensive and fruitless policies fail to produce results, and your ONLY plan is to attack those who simply want to save you from yourselves – you have lost. After four trillion dollars have evaporated and with Socialism collapsing everywhere in Europe, how can Obama – a man with no documented experience in anything – believe he can make something work that has never worked before in human history? Where does one develop such delusions of grandeur? Where is his track record of accomplishments?

Who is REALLY in control of the teleprompter ???????

As the debt “crisis” looms, I am reminded of high school. It’s true.

Think back…remember the most popular guys? They were 6-feet tall in Jr. High, could grow a full beard in the 4th grade, played quarterback and pitcher, partied harder than anyone else, and all the cheerleaders swooned in their presence. Fast forward 30 years…would you hire that guy to run your company today?

Most of those guys were popular for all the wrong reasons. High school was easy for them…but when real life finally caught up to them, those mental deficiencies and moral shortcomings that made them rock stars in the eyes of adolescents, relegated them to the ash heap of below-averageness in the adult world. Some of them, however, accidentally succeed.

Those are the guys who are now running YOUR government at all levels.

The charming personalities. The excellent speaking voices. The fantastic hair. A politician is, by their very nature, a show boater and attention hoarder. This is why the weirdos in Hollywood seem to gravitate to all the same pet causes and love to give each other meaningless awards whenever possible. What wisdom is displayed by putting all these brainless, spineless, attention grubbing lizards in one room and asking them to devise a SOLUTION ? These guys (and gals) are more worried about their appearances, what they are going to say – or not say, their poll numbers, their bank accounts, their golf games, their parties, and their mistresses…all of which makes it impossible to devote a single minute to doing their actual jobs. To make things worse, some idiot had the bright idea to put a television camera in the room, which hampers the lizards’ ability to focus even further.

Just today, Obama stated unequivocally that it was simply not possible to cut spending in Washington DC. Only an addict of the worst kind passionately makes excuses and defends their own vile addiction while attempting to force others to continue supporting that addiction. He is simply not paying attention to the 2010 election or the strong majority of Americans who are at long last finally insisting that the Federal Government STOP OVER-SPENDING !! This type of denial, narcissism, and arrogance is only possible among the political elites who fancy themselves above all else. What kind of human being can spend TRILLIONS more than they have, and then unflinchingly place the blame those who would dare question such a bad habit? Who would write a bunch of bad checks, and then demand that others – others who didn’t want the bad checks to be written – be the ones to cover the bad checks out of their own pockets? Who would proclaim a balanced check book to be both immoral and impossible? What kind of human picks the pocket of Person A, hands the money to Person B, and then denigrates Person A as the stingy and evil person in the group? What kind of a ‘leader’ is so out-of-control that he insists his subjects unwillingly contribute more and more of their earnings so he can continue his destructive, self indulgent policies? An addict, that’s who.

The Federal Government is like a busload of drug addicts…and right now, the bus is being driven by Motley Crue, circa 1984. The drug: Money stacked with Power. Politicians crave money and power worse than a meth addict craves meth. Think I’m exaggerating? Here are the 7 warning signs of addiction:

From this article: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/barb-rogers/seven-signs-of-addiction_b_519194.html

1. Questioning. Has Big Nanny been asking herself recently if there are major problems?

2. Defensiveness. Obama is the most defensive human alive when it concerns his failed policies.

3. Blaming. Has anyone heard, “It’s George Bush’s fault” anywhere ?

4. Secrets and Lies. That should be the actual title of the Obamacare legislation.

5. Time and effort. The effort being used to manipulate others is staggering.

6. Guilt and shame. This one throws me…I don’t think the lizards are capable of either.

7. Isolation. Why else would they form Gangs-of-6 ?

Americans have done themselves a major disservice with their hero-like cult worship of the popular kids. Why else are absolutely stupid shows like American Idol and Jersey Shore even possible? The Founding Fathers envisioned sending “wise and learned men” to positions in government. The American electorate, however, insists on sending the exact opposite: The best sloganeers and sound bite regurgitators and best teleprompter readers instead of principled, experienced, honorable leaders. If I’m wrong, explain Al Franken or Anthony Weiner.

And it happens in both parties…why is Mitt Romney, a flip-flopping statist 5 shades of blue Liberal the front-runner among Republicans? It makes NO sense…but then again, neither did Bob Dole or John McCain. I submit that at this point, Romney is leading because he has the best hair and best speaking voice, in that order. If the Republicans send Romney to battle against Obama, Romney will lose…Obama will simply say Romney was his role model for Obamacare. Game Over. Two good looking, well spoken, statist Liberals running side-by-side, arm-in-arm, while pretending to “debate” their media generated differences. The Kenyan Krippler vs. the Michigan Mauler to see who claims the belt…live on C-Span.

All week long, the news media has bombarded us with tales of catastrophe and destruction if the government “shut down.”

“The legislators just can’t get along with each other,” bemoaned every interviewee on the nightly news.

“We need to dock their pay,” popped up on a few media outlets.

FYI – Nearly all of these National politicians are multi-millionaires. Their measly paychecks barely cover their travel expenses, fancy meals, and designer clothing. Docking their pay would, at best, result in making their expenses larger than their stated income, thereby giving them an even larger tax-write off.

Personally, I did not send my politicians to Washington to “get along with the other kids”. I sent them there to do some difficult, thankless work – work they asked for by seeking their candidacies.

Here is the JOKE: http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/debt-jumped-54-billion-8-days-preceding

From CNS News: “ The federal debt increased $54.1 billion in the eight days preceding the deal made by President Barack Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D.-Nev.) and House Speaker John Boehner (R.-Ohio) to cut $38.5 billion in federal spending for the remainder of fiscal year 2011, which runs through September.”

And while these three flea infested polecats sprinted to the cameras to take credit for ‘the largest tax cuts in history’… they spent more just talking about the cutting than they actually ended up “cutting”.

The whole thing is a JOKE.

On us.

- to make something more attractive, pleasing, or interesting.

“Biden’s Name to GRACE New Rail Station”

http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/Biden-Rail-Station-Dedication-Set-117961529.html?dr

I’m thinking my dictionary got this one wrong, or more likely, the author of that article has a bottle of 100 proof whiskey she has been sipping from prior to writing her stories.

Does the name “Joseph R. Biden, Jr. Railroad Station” imply anything attractive, pleasing, or interesting? I suppose fans of the VP might think so…me, not so much.

What I do find it interesting is this “Wilmington Station underwent a nearly two-year, $37.7-million renovation. Funding for the project included $20 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.”

What that means is more than half of that project was funded with money borrowed from China and on loan from our grandchildren. I have no idea where the other half came from; the author didn’t bother to share that pertinent information.

Biden allowed his name to “grace” a train station unwillingly purchased with other people’s money. What kind of ego does it take to pull that off ? Yea, yea…I know he is a politician, where massive egos abound. But doesn’t he realize that money borrowed from China is nothing to be proud of? That money is generated off the backs of slave labor and child labor and inhumane working conditions surrounded by living conditions that are abhorrent. As Americans, we should all be ashamed that we purchase ANY goods and services from China, and even more embarrassed that we are so lowly that we must borrow money from them.

So for Smiling Joe to be proud of himself and his Chinese train station is repugnant. It is EXACTLY what is wrong with our political class – no shame. The guy was in the Senate for 36 years – EXACTLY what is wrong with our political class. Using other people’s money – and future generation’s money – for his own glory and legacy is EXACTLY what is wrong with our political class.

Way to go, Joe.

The following is just a bunch of random hopes I have for changes in 2011:

- That the 112th Congress puts a choke hold on government spending and the National Debt. In fact, even better would be a figure-4 leg lock, a 2nd knuckle deep double eye-gouge, and a windpipe crushing rear naked choke on any Congressman or Senator that proposes any new spending or an increase in spending on ANY government funded project. The Nancy Pelosi 111th Congress spent more money than the first 100 Congresses combined. COMBINED…which means added all together, 1st-100th.

WARNING: This story may make you vomit

http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/111th-congress-added-more-debt-first-100

- That President Obama hires a few advisors who have actually worked in or owned an actual, real-life business that created something for sale in the real world…an actual capitalist would be great. Some experienced, professional business people would be superbly qualified for Chief Economic Advisor and National Economic Council Director, for example. The departing college professors and Keynesian scholars didn’t seem to be working out very well. Yes, Keynesian is different than Kenyan…

- That the Republicans actually do something other than crying on TV or getting spray tans between bouts of cowering in fear over the minority opinion and trying to be friends with Oprah.

- I actually agree with Chris Mathews: It is time for Obama to just show his Birth Certificate and end the speculation.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2010/12/27/chris_matthews_why_doesnt_obama_just_release_the_birth_certificate.html

While he is at it, how about his passport records, kindergarten records, Punahou School records, Occidental College records, Columbia University records, Columbia thesis, Harvard Law School records, Harvard Law Review articles, University of Chicago scholarly articles, Illinois State Bar Association records, Illinois State Senate records/schedules(said to be lost), Medical records, Obama/Dunham marriage license, Obama/Dunham divorce documents, Soetoro/Dunham marriage license, Adoption records and of course the long-form Certificate of Live Birth. Stop wasting tax-payer dollars on attorneys to cover up your shady past.

- That the *F* word would go back into hiding. Yes, I say it once in a while around other adults who are members of my immediate circle of friends. The difference is that I don’t use it in every sentence as the noun, pronoun, verb, adverb, and adjective. It has become the most overused word in the American dialogue, just ahead of “just sayin” and “really”. Even PG-13 movies feel the need to use it at least once in every POS film that emanates from the foul depths of Hollyweird. To the teenage pig-girl screaming it on the chairlift at Pomerelle, to the schmuck walking into Big-5 loudly talking on his cell phone, to the goth-tramps in Peking recounting how one of them acquired herpes, and to the skinny dental-floss armed punks in Gold’s Gym: SHUT UP. If you want to say it, pay attention to your surroundings. I don’t want to hear it and neither do the well mannered children within your decibel range. I am now carrying a bar of soap and I am not afraid to use it.

- That Liberals everywhere would own up to the fact that they were wrong about the Bush/Cheney connection to “Big Oil” and recognize that the price of gasoline has never been higher than during President Obama’s time in office. http://money.cnn.com/2010/12/27/markets/oil_commodities/index.htm

- For Peace in the Middle East. Yea, right. We’ve spent trillions on that mess, with little or nothing to show for it. How about cleaning up our own hemisphere, starting with Mexico? A stable, secure, productive Mexico would be the fastest way to reverse the flood of illegals pouring into our country and depleting our resources. This problem is festering in some states, and is a full blown financial hemorrhage in states like Arizona. The Federal Government has miserably failed to do the only thing they are truly Constitutionally required to do, which is to defend the sovereignty of our country and secure our borders.

- Finally, that the price of gas, food, and ammo stays low. When the zombies, space aliens, and/or anarchists come – and they will – I want to be ready. 2011…really…really…(insert multiple f-bombs)…just sayin’.
